On September 4th, 2025, at approximately 1:25 PM, the United States Marshal Service Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force apprehended 31-year-old Charles Lee Brazil in Brownsville, TX. Brazil is the suspect in the August 30th murder of 23-year-old Tyler Gamez in Victoria, TX.
The quick apprehension of Brazil was due to the collaborative effort of the Victoria Police Department, the US Marshal Service, the Houston Police Department, the Brownsville Police Department and actionable intelligence shared by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's San Antonio Field Office.
