Morgan Alaniz Hothead shot dead in South Drake Avenue
Two men were killed in separate shootings in Little Village less than a day apart.
An 18-year-old Morgan Alaniz was gunned down late Sunday night on South Drake Avenue. The next morning, a 48-year-old man was shot multiple times on South Kolin Avenue and later died at the hospital. Though it’s unclear if the incidents are directly connected, the close timing has fueled concerns of further retaliation in the area in the coming weeks, raising fears that the cycle of violence could escalate.
